I just got back from a lil girls trip in Miami and it was just what I needed. A weekend reset with one of my best friends. I’ve been dying to go back to Prime and wanted to give some other spots a try.. so if you’re looking to go all out in Miami and quite honestly try some of the best food you’ve ever had, give these spots a go!
112 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach
I swear even something as simple as a caesar salad blows your mind away here. From truffle fries to cream corn with black truffles.. cauliflower gratin.. the freshest ceviche with pineapple.. I’m drooling just thinking about it.
I treated myself to a lovely Japanese A5 Kobe Filet and I was out of words. Medium. Crusted. I can’t. There’s something about food for me that brings me to a whole other world. Each bite was like a story, I actually had tears to my eyes. Ya, anyone reading this probably thinks I’m weird AF but god damn, nothing I’ve ever had compares to this beauty. I’ll leave it at that.
Dishes I recommend: I’ve had the filet mignon before, delicious. If you can treat yourself to the kobe steak, don’t think twice. Gotta hit those truffle fries up and THAT CREAM CORN WITH BLACK TRUFFLES THO.
+ Try out their mojitos, ask them to put some raspberries in there.. thank me later.
1111 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach
Well, this is probably one of my favourite views of Miami. The music, the decor, the hints of purple with the neon and trees.. you feel like you got lost in heaven. We started the night off right with a lil rosé followed by the best best best escargot I’ve ever had hands down. Garlic butter over top seared potatoes and a leak foam.. pardon me. That dish hit my top 5 real quick.
Main dish we decided to get their special of the day, a variation of their Chilean Sea Bass stuffed with lemons and crispy leaks, marinated in garlic butter. Boom. To die for.
Dishes I recommend: Hands down… escargots. They are known for their fish dishes so if they recommend you a daily special that’s not normally on the menu, I’d say go for it
270 Biscayne Blvd Way, Downtown Miami
Had to end this trip off with a bang, so no better place to do so than at Zuma. I’ve wanted to try this place for SO long, had to save the best for last. The menu was too overwhelming, in a great way (just wanted to try it all) – so we decided to do the tasting menu which I believe was something around 12 dishes, specialties from the chef. No regrets there, everything that was brought out was a masterpiece on it’s own filled with a combination of flavours I could of never dreamed of.
The truffle risotto, kobe beef sliders, sashimi tower.. the toro tuna… the motto of the night was “WHO DID THIS”. The freshest of the freshest sashimi, created by a mastermind of a chef, edible art.
