Oh boyyyyyy, it felt so nice to be back! I just recently moved from Montreal to Toronto after living there for almost 4 years! Such beautiful memories and friends I got to reconnect with it was truly magical. The purpose of the trip was to celebrate one of my best friend’s birthdays, (little @evetal shoutout) which included a beautiful Shabbat dinner with her family and friends as well as a little club celebration. I’m trying to cut back on alcohol so a sober night at the club it was for me! (Let’s just say when you’re sober you notice a lot more when people step, spill or smash into you haha). Nonetheless, it was so nice to get to be there for my gorgeous best friend and see such a beautiful smile on her face all night!
SO. Obviously.. Montreal.. blog post? Can’t believe I hadn’t gotten the chance to put one together before moving, but hey, better late than never right?
BUT FIRST, COFFEE.
First things first, coffee. Always. I decided to try out 2 new spots that have been blowing up lately, Leaves Cafe and Tommy, as well as my all time favourite, Cafe Aunja.
This. place. is. gold. First off, sorry milk lovers but this place only provides plant based milks! (You shouldn’t be drinking that garbage anyways). Not only that but they have about 10 different options. I decided to try out the Matcha latte with a Macadamia milk base. Best i’ve ever had, hands down. I also had a taste of the Chai Latte made with almond milk, also to die for. Still upset I didn’t get to try their Maple Tumeric Latte, but that just means I’ll be back soon! They also have a bunch of tasty snacks, including their chocolate free brownie bar.. yum right?

This cafe’s interior is a must see. It is located in one of Montreal’s beautiful old buildings with tons of plants, cute seating areas, great little study spot. They’re menu options is a bit overwhelming considering everything sounded amazing – their avocado toast, sandwiches.. soups.. everything!! I tried out their most popular, the breakfast croissant which included: prosciutto, the freshest avocado, topped with an egg. To die for. The combination of tastes in this little piece of heaven makes me reconsider my usual breakfast sandwiches. Located in the heart of Old Montreal it’s the perfect little spot to walk around with your coffee and explore.

I’ve always had a soft spot for this place. It has such a calm, peaceful atmosphere. The coffee is one of a kind, and the interior is absolutely beautiful. Also a great study spot and they host a variety of events including poetry, music etc. They have a vast selection of teas and their meals are the perfect treat for a cold fall day.

There’s no such thing as the real Montreal experience without visiting Old Montreal. From the cobblestone streets to the breathtaking architecture, it leaves you in such awe. It feels like you took a quick trip to Europe or travelled back in time. Montreal does a great job at preserving it’s buildings. Whether summertime or wintertime with all the Christmas decorations and snow, it’s a must see! Here are a few photos from our walk down the beautiful streets, including our visit at the Notre-Dame Basilica.
A great activity to do with friends. I used to live quite close to Mont-Royal so it was my number one running track. Whether you want a full workout with the stairs of death (lol) or just a peaceful hike, the view at the top makes it all worth it.
I’m so in love with this place. It’s like a little piece of heaven. There’s just something about farmer’s markets that just puts a smile on my face. This market is part indoor and part outdoor and when the fall hits.. it’s just beautiful. All the flowers, pumpkins.. local fruits and vegetables.. in love! Unfortunately this was a quick trip to the market since it started to rain shortly after but it’s definitely on my Top 3 list of my favourite places in Montreal. In the summers they have a lot of Montreal’s hidden gem restaurants set up outside with a bunch of picnic tables it makes me so happy.
I love to try out different beauty spots when visiting new cities and something I had to try was @biobronzeinc’s all natural, vegan, cruelty free spray tans! Not only that but I had to go back to my #1 lash girl @katia.lash. Seriously, this girl kills it for lashes. Every single time I leave there I’m always in such awe at how perfect and natural they look! I get stopped in the streets to get asked where I got them done, that good. Another one of my all time faves, Kim Nails. Always killing it with the perfect nails.
I can’t even put it into words how AMAZING this girl is. I don’t even have to tell her what I want she just does her magic and I’m always in such shock at how awesome they turn out. I also don’t know how she does it but they last longer than anything else I’ve tried and don’t damage my actual lashes. Magic. She offers mobile & at home services in the heart of downtown.

BIO BRONZE INC
I was so excited to try this place out! @biobronzeinc is also a mobile service but if you’re able to go check them out at Beau Tique in Laval, I’d say go go go! Cutest little spot and you can also do nails, makeup and so much more. Oh and btw, you’ll completely fall in love with Nancy. She is truly one of a kind. So kind hearted with the best conversations, you’ll be laughing the whole time. She uses the Sunnatan products which are all natural, vegan, cruelty free. Nancy is so great at explaining to you the importance of using Natural products on your skin, and she also adds her little special touch post-spray tan which I will leave you discover this on your own 🙂

This was actually the first spot I tried out when I moved to Montreal back in 2013, and I haven’t gone anywhere else since. These women just know what they’re doing. Anything from acrylic, shellac, design, gel.. any shape, they got you. I’m always super impressed with Kim and the girls. Trust me, you’ll go here once and always come back!
