There’s something magical about being in the calmness of nature, surrounded by trees.. a lake and complete silence. Where the stars shine a lot brighter and you can hear the birds chirping all day.
I started working at this job about a year into moving to Montreal and had the chance to meet a group of girls that have been so close to my heart ever since. There was something so special about that job – it was a bit tedious and tiring, but the girls I have met, I know will be a huge part of my life forever. This connection that we have is just beautiful. We meet up for dinners, Sangria.. time can go by and we still manage to have that connection no matter how long it has been. So here I am, taking a moment to show some gratitude for this job that I definitely wasn’t a fan of, but did lead me to friendships that will last forever.
We all bring something so different and beautiful to the table. We tend to all have different opinions and we hear each other out and grow and learn. There’s so much positive, fun, let loose energy going on when we’re together. I can’t get enough of it!
SO. We filled our first day with cooking, listening to old songs and laughing and dancing.. I can’t even describe the happiness I was filled with. We had a wonderful dinner and that was followed by more music and dancing and some alcohol. We had the fire going the whole time jumping around in our PJs. Once it got super dark we went out by the dock and all laid down side by side looking up at the stars.. talking about our different opinions on the after life.. just truly enjoy that present moment.
Town of Magog & Boutique Chaman
The following day we made breakfast, relaxed and me and one of the girls went into town to explore. So many cute little shops. A colleague of mine had told me about this small esoteric shop that sold crystals, incense and a bit of everything.. so obviously I had to check it out! The shop name is Chaman in Magog. If you’re ever in that area you gotta go see for yourself! The shop owner France is such a cutie and very knowledgeable on her stock. I got so many stones and incense.. you can never have enough!
Overall there is something special being around your friends, away from the city, with no worries in the world.. dancing your heart out and laughing so hard it hurts. Cuddling in bed for a movie or just talking about how valuable we all are for each other. Alone time is precious, but time with friends is valuable. The energy of being surrounded by trees and the fresh air and the brightest stars.. I couldn’t of asked for a better place to be and to be surrounded by any one else.
Be grateful for those special moments and cherish them for all the beauty that they have. Be present, listen and grow from them. Friends are a beautiful thing and when you are able to connect away from it all and truly live and laugh to the fullest.. that is what happiness is.
